HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2011!!!!!

We had a VERY low key New Year's Eve with Melissa, David, Noah and Isabella at our house.  I actually had a cake due on the 1st by 11am so I worked on it part of the night.  We watched a movie and then right around midnight went out and shot off some fireworks that we had in the closet (it was quite funny I think they had been up there for so long that they had lost their umph - most were kind of duds) however the kids had a great time.

Here is to a year of great leaps and bounds for the Beverly Family.  Hopefully Scott's company will take off even more than it already has and put us right where we want to be.  And to my cake business - if I could double the business of this year life would be good!

HAPPY 2011!!!

CHRISTMAS WITH THE KIDS DECEMBER 26th

Ok so I HATE the way the Blogspot changed the way you put pictures up - it is so hard to arrange them so I am just going to leave them however they come up and will rearrange them the way I want them when I do my book at the end of the year..........so anyway this was the year that the older kids were with their other parents so we had Christmas with them on December 26th.

Blane got a $150 gift certificate to Oakley to get some new sunglasses with an Oakley beenie, a $100 gift certificate to Discount tire (which he wanted) with an electric coin counter that looks like a thermal coffee cup to put in his car, pj bottoms with socks and underwear with new ear buds, some Bose speakers for his computer, some jeans and a shirt and from Grandma got an American Eagle shirt with a gift certificates to the movies, subway and IHOP.

Kamdon got a wallet with a keychain with the key to his new car (so funny when he opened it because he didnt say anything about the key but he was very excited about the wallet - we didnt let him go see what kind of car he got until the very end), a radar detector, a GPS, Kinect for his ExBox 360, pj bottoms with a UT snuggie, underwear and socks and new ear buds, a UT liscense plate cover and UT decal, and finally his 2001 Mazda Tribute (big enough for 3 sets of golf clubs so he can now run golf car pool).  From Grandma and Grandpa he got some new golf shoes.   He was so excited about his car - I am glad he liked it.

Bailey got some Miss Me jeans from Grandma and Grandpa.  Some Ugg boots, an outfit from Forever 21, a pair of cargo pants with a $100 gift certificate from Forever 21, pj bottoms a tank top and a fuzzy robe, a new camera, socks, earbuds, Ed Hardy travel perfume, a golf score clicker.

Jessica got an outfit from Grandma and Grandpa with a computer skrinky dink scrapbook kit, Nike tennis shoes, an out fit from Areopostale, pjs with ear buds, socks and underwear, a Cruizer scooter, a Percy book with Snuggie, a Taylor Swift CD and tshirt with a red jelly watch.

Brooklyn on her second Christmas with the kids got a Vanity, Despicable me movie, 4 Dr Suess books with the Grinch and his dog stuffed animals, Rapuzel baby doll, and a Princess scooter.

I think they were all very satified with their goods as they kept telling me how good we (Santa) did.  I love when I am able to nail it and they are happy.

So now time to put the trees away and get ready for New Years (and my upcoming trip to the Bahamas January 6th - yay!)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

ALLYSON'S BABY SHOWER

The counter/food set up turned out really cute with MY DIAPER cake as the centerpiece.

(Great) Grandma Perez, Allyson with baby girl due in February, and (Gigi) Melissa

Allyson with the STORE BOUGHT cake - UGHHHH!!!!

SNOW GIRL DIAPER CAKE

I got booted from doing the cake for Allyson (David Jr's) baby shower because her aunt was SUPPOSED to do it, so Melissa asked me to do the diaper cake instead (which I would rather do anyway it takes 1 hour as opposed to 8-12 hours).  I think it turned out really cute.  Then the aunt ended up showing up with a Costco sheet cake - UGHHH!!!!!  Oh well what do you do?

MY BABY STARTS PRE-K

So not ready for this day - I can't believe my baby is starting school.  She is starting PreK at Sunshine Kids at Stonebridge Methodist Church.  She was so unsure until meet the teacher day, and once she saw her classroom she was completely in.  It also helped to know that I had signed up to be room mom (which made Scott room dad - heehee).
We drew a red heart on her hand and told her that if she got nervous or scared she could look at the heart and know we were thinking about her and loved her and couldnt wait to pick her up.
She told me thanks for putting it on her hand on the way to school to keep her from getting nervous and then when I picked her up she said she only had to look at it two times.
When I picked her up she told me they took good care of her.  I am so excited for her.  She got the mystery box on the third day which is a big deal - they have to put something in it and give clues while the other kids try to guess what it is.

Her long journey begins and now I have to find something to do with myself, hmmmmm...........clean? No! laundry? No! Workout?  Maybe!  Shop?  Definately!!!!!

BACK TO LIVING GOLF!

The boys and girls golf team got together for a mini pool party as a meet and greet for the new kids.  Of course a reason to make a cake - it was a real quick one but I liked the way it turned out.  As Historian again this year I warmed up my camera.  First boys tournament next Tuesday - not sure they are ready.
