So from what I hear we are the ONLY strict parents in Frisco, TX, Blane who is now 18 is going to his girlfriend's cheerleading banquet and asked if he could go to some guys lake house (where would someone have a lake house around here?) afterwards. I said "NO - ABSOLUTELY NOT" - his curfew is 12:30 - everything in Frisco shuts down at midnight even the bars so no need for a later curfew bu he wants me to extend his curfew or "just let him spend the night" - with his girlfriend mind you. What is this world coming to when the kids are asking to spend the night together and expecting it to happen?
BROOKLYN TURNS 2!
I can't believe Brooklyn is already two - where did my baby go? We had to have a Dora party seeing that she eats sleeps and breathes Dora, Boots, Bennie and Swiper. She has learned to count to ten as well as all her colors in spanish just from watching this show - who ever thought cartoons would make a kid smart. We had about 45 people at her party including my family, Scott's parents and Cassie, Meagan, Scott's brother Cliff with Dylan and Alex as well as his brother Chris and lots of our friends. Entertainment - a bounce house (Dora of course), a pinata, the tramploine and Dora on the tube. She was such a cute party hostess - she loves her friends until it came time to sing to her and she was not that in to the attention being focused at her - we got quite the snarl while we sung to her. So the main gift was her potty chair that is our next big goal - then what she is all grown up. Time to add a little brother of sister right Scott? Just kidding. I love how she is changing every day and the funny things that she says and does - she is quite the character - it makes me wonder how she will change in this next year - hopefully not to much.
