I spoke to soon - I did get a few more Halloween pictures from Trey so I am posting them and NO I did not approve of the skimpy out fit from Leg Avenue that he bought Bailey but she did look cute

Why do kids love masks? They can't see and they want to wear them for about 2 minutes then they come off for the night. Kamdon opted for a mask instead of a costume so therefore by the end of the night he was dressed up as "Kamdon"
Getting pictures from the ex on any occassion is impossible - this is what I got - I KNOW he needs a little work on photography but this is all there is - he said there is more but I may never get them. Bailey was not happy about trick-or-treating with her dad this year (at 13 who wants to?) but she suckked it up and said "this was the last year to do that!" Kamdon didn't care - candy is candy (and he has Blake over there). Blane stayed in Stephenville and some of his friends from here went out there (I don't know what kind of trouble they got in to and I don't want to know).
Cute costume Kamdon - where is the rest of it?

I wish I had a good picture of Bailey's costume - I didn't get to see it
We started the night off at Melissa and David's with pizza and snacks. They live in THE BEST neighborhood for trick-or-treating (we now deam it as our spot too). There are kids everywhere and it is the only time I have ever seen parents walking around trick or treating with beers and glasses of wine while the kids begged for candy - it is like a huge street party. Most houses just had a bucket on the front porch that you help yourself to because everyone was out. We had quite the crowd of our own, along with the Perez family we had Carrie & Brad with kids and Sara & Scott with Wyatt and Me & Scott with Brooklyn (Kamdon and Bailey were with their dad - but pictures to come). We went up and down four long streets. They really were gung-ho in the beginning running up to every door but by the last street they were all fighting for a spot in the wagon (which we managed in the end to cram 4 kids in). They got a ton of candy and played really hard until about 11:30 pm when Scott and I drug ourselves home to bed. Long day planned for tomorrow too.

Brookie in her Halloween JamJam's at the end of the night
Sorry for the Picture overload - I loved them all.
Tonight we went over and met Carrie and Brad and went
trunk-or -treating with their church group. They have a baby boom going on in their ward - EVERYONE had either a new baby or a baby bump (I felt a bit out of place, Scott! -
heehee). Brooklyn had a good time at "Presley's party" - she is really getting in to the trick-or-treating thing. She finally realized that she gets candy, and that kid has a serious sweet tooth like her daddy and mommy. Although poor thing the minute we walk in the door at home everyone raids her basket - so she has to work extra hard to get as much as she can. Presley was the cutest spider bride - I loved the swing skirt and Sam was either a dinosaur or a dragon - however you
perceived it. We had a good time - Thanks Carrie and Brad for taking us.

Presley & Brooklyn....Sam....the coolest car out there....Carrie and Brad with kids
I am loving Scott's GoT
Brookie loving her daddy....and Sam is DONE
On the way home Brooklyn told me "I DON'T WANT TO TRICK-OR-TREAT NO MORE - I DON'T" - little does she know we are going again tomorrow - hope she changes her mind.
Well I guess we are bad parents we didn't carve pumpkins with the kids this year - Kamdon and Bailey have no interest and Brooklyn is really to young to care but I did make several pumpkin crafts to put around the house.
THE PUKING PUMPKIN - I LOVE IT - SOOOOO FUNNY! I did carve this one - Jessica cleaned out the inside for me.
THE MUMMY PUMPKIN - The eyes are a little different, I found Brooklyn in the corner behind the couch chewing on one of the eyes - she had pulled it off the pumpkin and pulled the dried hot glue off the back and was trying to eat it - I think it was really hard - yuck! So I had to get a new one - different batch different look.
AND THE BATTY PUMPKIN - I thought these were so cute - I got all the ideas from Family Circle Magazine (except puking pumpkin) - they were fun - next year we will carve pumpkins with Brooklyn - she will be almost 4 and should have fun - she is just now getting the trick-or-treating down.

Our last class with Ms. Therese - as she doesn't teach the Fondant/Gum Paste class. Tonight we made a double layered cake of our choice. Carrie and I opted for the same cake - covered in Blue Fondant with multi-colored Fondant flowers. I tried the loopy bow instead of the stand up flowers on top - which the loops ended up being a little too thick and flopping over. I plan on using this technique on Matt and Amy's wedding cake in two weeks so I needed to try it. Hmmmm.......I may need to try it a few more times. I see my errors though. We have really enjoyed our teacher and are sad not to have her teaching our course 4 however, she did tell us that she teaches more old school and the lady that teaches the next class does alot of the new cool things out. It might be nice to get a fresh instructor - we will see. I have decided I REALLY like fondit better than buttercream or royal icing - the flowers are much easier to make and much prettier. Can't wait til the next class starting next week.

We have finally gotten Brooklyn's furniture and completed her room (other than the comforter cover and shams) it is so cute. I did the theme as the frog prince there is a story done around the top that says "Once upon a time, a princess, made a promise, 'retrieve my ball and I will do what you want dear frog', 'I just want some love and attention, be my special friend', She always kept her word so with a little kindness the frog turned into a handsome prince, and they lived happily, ever after, THE END in letters from Just Stick em up. Then we got the bookends, lamp and doorstop in the frog prince and princess sheets with a tulle bed skirt. It is definitely a room made for a princess the question is "how do we get her to sleep in there now?" She has a very nicely decorated "PLAYROOM" as Scott likes to say. Hopefully she will be sleeping in there before we decide to have our next baby - right Scott? Anyway I love the way it all turned out and so does she - she constantly is asking everyone and anyone to go to her room "to have a tea party" or she wants to go to her room and watch "Hobbie Hobbie" (Holly Hobby).
Noah just turned 4 and he is obsessed with Shamu - they even took him to Sea World as his birthday present to dine with Shamu (spoiled) - so for his party here I made him a Shamu cake - I tried a recipe I found on the internet for Marshmellow Fondant (the real stuff is so gross) - it is pretty yummy but I think harder to work with - it seems thinner and tears easy. So my cake looks kind of amatuerish but it was a great first attempt and it didn't help that we had to be at their house at noon and we didn't get to bed last night until about 3 am. The whale is made out of rice crispy treats and then covered with the marshmellow fondant. I forgot to take my camera to the party but he LOVED his cake so I had to share pics. I can't wait to try it again.
Melissa and I decided we wanted an Adult reason to dress up so we planned a little get together - and LITTLE it was - we had 6 couples show (one of which I didn't get a picture of) - thanks to all of you losers that said you were coming and didn't - I know this time of year is really busy for everyone. It was actually fine - we ate and hung out and talked and it was really nice to not have kids running around screaming the whole time. Scott and I decorated the front yard to look like a Cemetery and I have to say we did an AMAZING job - it looked really good - fog and everything - which we will leave up until Halloween. I think the decorating was most of the fun. Anyway we ended up hanging out until about 2am - we closed the Beverly bar down - heehee.
