PRINCESSES...THEY ARE JUST LIKE US!
They sleep with their glass slippers on...
They go for bike rides...
They Grocery Shop...
They play baseball...
and they eat poptarts while watching morning cartoons.
US Weekly has a page in every magazine that is titled 'Stars - They are just like us' - so I did my own version.

LONG TIME OVERDUE REUNION!

I have had some really good friends in my life a few of which have slipped through the cracks that I don't talk to anymore which really makes me sad. I have used Facebook to recover a few of those friendships and am trying to recover the rest of them by other means. Tonight we had dinner with my long lost friend Teresa Bagley and her husband Randy and their girls Hailey and Hope. Teresa and I were friends all through high school and even though we didn't go to the same school we were inseparable. We were even pregnant with Kamdon and Hailey at the same time and unfortunately we haven't seen each other since shortly after their births (almost 15 years ago) which has really bothered me for a long time. Therefore, at Christmas I looked up their address and sent them a Christmas card. This was a reunion that was so exciting for me. They live in Marshall, Texas but from here on out I will do everything in my power to see them as often as I can. I really enjoyed catching up. Next time I hope to be able to bring Kamdon and Bailey so they can meet the girls and hopefully become friends too.

WHAT TO DO ON AN ICY DAY!

Ice storms - yuck! They so throw off my day and my week. We had a day and a half of no school this week therefore spent a lot of time at hanging out. Scott even worked from the house on one of them. I did manage to drive Bailey to a friends house. I didn't think they were that bad - I think Texans are over dramatic. So I was on Facebook and saw that Carrie's friend Jessica was making cookies with her kids - the light bulb went off in my head - we are going to do that too! Only no one wanted to help except Brooklyn (Scott made it in just in time to sprinkle). She had fun anyway - and they were really sugary sugar cookies by time we were done with them.

They look good - how do they taste daddy?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID!

David is that 24 or 42?
We celebrated David's birthday today. Melissa made yummy chili and of course I made the cake. And what better suits him than a football. So we hung out, ate and of course watched some football on TV, exactly what he wanted to spend the evening doing (didn't want anything to do with getting dressed up and going out - Dave - your such a homebody!) Scott loves the movie 'What Happens in Vegas' and we are always trying to get them to come over an watch it but there never seems to be time so, we bought it for him and along with some popcorn and a football koozie he is now ready to watch it at his own convenience.

Melissa opts for number candles instead of 42 individual candles (fire hazard - heehee)
Bella's jaw drops as she realizes how old her daddy is...and Brooklyn is confused?????

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE - Hope it was a good one!

BROOKLYN TURNS 3!

We are back to blogging - it has been a VERY slow January - nothing interesting going on but we are back now and ready to start hunting fun things to do.

Today was Brooklyn's 3rd birthday and party - TINKERBELL. We had lots of fun things to do and quite the crowd to do it with. First off all the girls got fairy wings, wands and crowns and the boys all got pirate bandannas, eye patches and hats. And everyone got dabbed with some glitter pixie dust. We were pirates and tinker fairies. We started the party by filling everyone up with pizza and fairy punch (it was really just pink lemonade).

It's TINKERBELL herself (Brooklyn)

And guest-ezs (as she says) - Presley, Wyatt, Noah, Nicholas and McKayla - Tinker Fairies and Pirates

And even some of us fun adults - Scott Wescoat, Debbi and Dad (Grandpa)

Then we went on to "Pixie Hollow" (the dining room) where we had set up her new sandbox (part of her gift - thanks to the money sent by mamo and papo, Julian and Esther and Manuel and Dada) surrounded by helium balloons made in to daisies. The sandbox was filled with purple sand and full of buried "lost things". The kids each got a bag to fill up with rings, coins, bracelets, pirate maps, and lots of other goodies. Anyone that has seen the movie knows that Tinkers find "lost things" - and that's what they do.
After that we went back to the kitchen where the kids all decorated cupcakes with frosting and toppings to suit. Sugar OVERLOAD! It was a really fun way to make cake time last longer - the adults all got a piece of my Tinkerbell cake that I spent 3 days working on - my first "Masterpiece". I am definitely into finding the most difficult cake to make these days - it turned out super cute and was fun to make. Nothing but the best for my little Tinkerbell - she will only be 3 once right?

Then on to gift opening - CHAOS! - I should have made a game out of this event to keep things in order. She had way to many helpers all at once and got a little overwhelmed but LOVED all the good stuff she got. And after having a chance to look at everything later that evening she started playing with things one at a time and really enjoying them. We got her the music box from the movie with the dancing ballerina on top and a key that locks your goodies up tight (Presley quickly confiscated the key and deemed that gift as her favorite - now I know what to get for her birthday next month). We also got her a Princess bicycle (every time Scott goes out of town he promises a "super surprise" and she ALWAYS says "are you going to bring me a bice-a-kable like Noah's?" Too much for an out-of-town gift but perfect for her 3rd birthday right? We also got her a room for her dollhouse which she has almost filled up thanks to Carrie and the kids bringing her a room too - I think we have 2 left (the laundry room and bath room - which we may get one of them with the money great grandpa gave her.

Overall - I deem the Tinkerbell party a huge success and I was even told by Briana that "she had a lot of fun and that she hadn't wanted to come because she thought it was going to be boring and was glad she did" - and that means a lot to Aunt Debbi - thanks Bri - I am glad I have "party planning skills" and didn't let her down.
Sweet Girl

Noah and Wyatt(see boys play w/doll houses) - David P., Scott W., and Scott - Laurie - Sam and Noah

Mommy and Brooklyn - Noah - Kamdon and Brooklyn - Presley, Wyatt and Brooklyn

So now on to planning the next BIG party - Bailey's 14th in April (she has been planning for about 11 1/2 months I think before her 13th was even over). I do also have Blane's 19th coming up in February (which he never lets me make a big deal over - tells me to wait for his 21st) and Jessica's in March which we will have a small party seeing that she has her big party with her mom. However, I will be making EXCELLENT cakes for all of them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKLYN (sweet baby girl!)-
ALTHOUGH MY BABY IS ALL GROWN UP!
