My two cake for the weekend were a Elmo sheet cake (I hate sheet cakes so I added a second layer to make it look a little more spectacular) along with a smash cake for a first birthday.
I also did a first communion cake for Christine's (a co-worker of Scott's) step son - this cake was difficult for me - it was buttercream and had alot of writing on it which I am not really good at so everytime I messed up I had to scrape the frosting and redo. In the future if I do something like this I will suggest fondant which will make it so much easier to fix errors. It turned out good in the end and they were very happy with it.
Scott's brother Mike and Matthew were in town for a scholastic tournament so Mike asked us if we wanted to join them for a Ranger game on Saturday night. And of course we did. It was a great night for baseball - the weather was PERFECT! Unfortuneatly the Rangers didn't win so no fireworks at the end but we did eat a TON - hamburger, fries, nachos, cotton candy, Dibs (ice cream) it was wonderful although as you can see in the family picture my booty did not need it.
Brooklyn had fun hamming it up for the camera.
I didn't know the girl getting married but the reception was set up really pretty (for a church gym) so I took picutres - and my cake turned out pretty good.
Sam is Scott's biggest Fan
Mom made me bring a cake so I tried out my new Cake Cricut. The cupcake on top was a die cut piece of fondant. I used the fondant sheets they sent me which were really thin so you could see where they bled through but it was VERY cool. Can't wait to use it on rolled fondant.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUYS!

A repeat of one a cake I have already made for some twins birthday - Lego cake for Serene's son Hunter's birthday

Scott Jones called me Monday morning - he was in town doing a presentation and he needed a propthat next morning and wondered if I could make him a cake of a Target style building. He later mailed me a card to say Thank You saying it helped his team with the win and everyone loved it. It was HORRIBLE in my eyes - but it was the best I could do on short notice - glad they liked it.
The invite Scott made for the big event
The gang - Brayden, Kamdon, Collier, Veilka, Kyle, Bailey, Madalynn, Bennett, Haley, and Austin "Mr. it feels so right" heehee
Bailey chose to have her 15th birthday party at Dick's Last Resort. It was alot of fun - we invited Tina and Von to go with us to help drive the kids down and so we had some one to talk to.
The cake I made Bailey - I know it was kind of kiddish but I just got the cupcake pan and I wanted to try a topsy turvy - I actually loved this cake - one of my favorites. She can choose next year.
