Bailey and Cayman decided that they needed to visit the Ink tattoo parlour - seeing that there is no way I would let her get a tattoo they settled for a cartilage piercing in their ears. Just kidding that's what they planned on all along. Cayman's mom made her go first and Steve the piercer was a PRO! She didnt even realize he stuck the needle through and it was a big one. Then Bailey went next. Friend bonding - the things teenagers will do. She is already bugging me to lose some pounds so I can get my belly button done with her when she turns 16. I think she is saying I am chunky! How RUDE! We will see.
Cakes this week were for random people I didnt know - but very good choices for my portfolio.
No cavities (sugar bugs) this time - mommy must be brushing better! We found a new kids dentist right down the street from or house and I love them. The dentist wears red scrubs and converse tennis shoes and acts like a kid's dentist! They have cool Tv's that are mesh with the ceiling so the kids have something to watch while they are getting their teeth done and a TON of different flavors for flouride. And best of all it takes less than 5 minutes to get there. YAY for us! I want to go to this dentist - LOL!
I had fun with both of these cakes - and I had two happy little customers. The Mario cakes was for Zack an 8 year old I did the R2D2 cake for last year (I am so excited I am getting repeats). And the jet fighter was for a 5 year old (and from what she said when she picked it up - a very picky one). They were a referral from Melissa Perez and she texted me and told me that I way exceeded her expectations. I am glad because now she has asked me to reserve a date in July for her baby's 1st birthday.
Only one cake this week - Morgan's graduation cake. She graduated from Wakeland High so I did the big W on the side and the mascot cougar on the other side - however instead of the orange and blue school colors she wanted her favs pink, purple and black. No problem. Then last minute Melody asked me for some Luau cupcakes for her mom's birthday party. I think they turned out cute.
