My husband opted for a long weekend so he could spend the day shopping with Brookie and myself at First Monday in Canton (on Friday). We got up early dropped the kids at school, it was a beautiful day - perfect to spend outside, then as we are getting ready he turns on the TV to find that Canton was under a tornado warning and one had already touched down in one of the parking areas that morning. PERFECT! We decided to head out there anyway and I am glad that we did - it was so nice and the weather was gone by time we got there. We had a really good time and Brookie was an angel. She got a few cute outfits and I got a couple shirts, and Scott got a contraption to cut the crusts off sandwiches. The real reason I went though was to get flower arrangements for our mantle and sconces for the wall and any other decor I could find to fill some of the empty areas, and I ended up with nothing for the house - I found things I liked but Scott wasn't feeling them, so I guess I keep looking - he has a hard time envisioning things. I was very conservative with my purchases unlike most Canton trips - I do tend to spend way more when he isn't there. Nevertheless, I had a really good time spending the day with him. There is
ALWAYS next month. We made one more pit stop on the way home and that was to see the miniature ponies, they were REALLY cute - Scott kept asking Brooklyn if she wanted a pony - it is probably a good thing I was there we may have been purchasing a new shock collar for the back yard and Rocky and Daisy would have had a new playmate.
