Wedding and Groom's Cake I made for this special occassion
Melissa and David decided (well melissa decided) that after being married for 7 years (eloped the first time in Napa) that it was time to have their marriage blessed by their church. What a cute family all in their black and blue (we teased her that she chose the colors of bruises - was because it was a beating - heehee). They are so busy with all of the kids so when to do it? After work, basketball practice and at 8pm (bedtime). But said and done it was beautiful (even with Noah and Isabella running circles around them.

Melissa, Isabella, David, David Jr., Noah and Kristin Perez - our closest and dearest friends

The part that stuck out the most to me was when the preacher said "do you promise to accept children willingly from God" and they said "I do" - get ready guys - he may be sending more your way - heehee.

David strolls in all casual.........and Melissa comes running in looking all flustered
That's the kiss you get after 7 years of already being married - no drop and lock 'em - sorry!
Feeding each other cake - Looks Painful!
She wanted to show me that she was a big girl and could flush herself - HYSTERICAL! What's the point of using your foot if you grab on to the toilet to get your foot up there.

So mom decided that she would help out with Carrie's nesting before the baby gets here and give her a bathroom makeover for her birthday. SOMEHOW I got roped into helping (I guess it is my expertise huh?) It didn't seem like a big project just a little paint hang some new mirrors and install knobs on the cabinets - NO PROBLEM. UNTIL mom noticed that one of the light fixtures was not centered over the sink. So after a full day of work my dad had it moved, great except now you could see where the wall was not smooth from fixing the sheetrock (she has no texture to cover up the seams with). So now we had to texture the walls - no problem except Carrie's walls have some funky paint that nothing sticks to. We figured that out once we got it all up. So I suggested that we should have kilzed it first - shortcut we will kilz right over the texture and it will seal it to the wall - WRONG! we end up scraping it ALL off the wall and started over. Kilz then texture and then paint - OK looks beautiful just dont touch the walls were not sure it if will stay. Then we painted the cabinets black (which I lOVE) and put the knobs on. Hung the mirrors added her accessories and whal-la - BEAUTIFUL!
While we painted - Kids played in the little pool Grandma brought
