RONALD'S AMAZON ADVENTURE

Chicken Nuggets Anyone? Yep, we hit another one, this time Ronald's Amazon Adventure in Richardson (we drove 35 minutes to get there - CRAZY!) - it was so cute though - this is now my favorite one. Carrie, Presley and Sam went with us. Kamdon and Bailey are finally home from their dad's so we drug them along too. And yes Brooklyn is more than ecstatic to have them home with her. We look like tourists who have never been to a McDonald's - it is so funny. This was our 6th stop (only 2 to go) - and our 2 free happy meals, one premium salad and a free iced coffee - so is it all worth it? OF COURSE!

ROCKY GETS A TRIM

Rocky is our 6 year old Siberian Husky and he is BEAUTIFUL with a full fluffy clean coat of hair - unfortunately in Texas in the summer it is so hot that all he does is shed - so every summer we have him shaved down about 3 times - we keep him fluffy in the winter. It is so funny when they shave him because I don't think anyone quite understands how to cut this breed and when I say leave his head alone and FADE it into his body - he always comes back looking like a BOBBLEHEAD - oh well I guess it is better than him shedding all over my house. Poor Rocky - how humiliating.

OUR NEW FOUND BOWLING TEAM

So I thought all those games of bowling on the Wii would have paid off somehow - Nope! I am still not good. We met the Perez clan at Strikz in Frisco for a friendly game of bowling last night. On the Wii I can get over 200 no problem - hmmm so why can I only get to 105 in real life. I tried using the same strategy that I use at home - start off to the right because my ball tends to curve - didn't work. The kids had a GREAT time - everytime Brooklyn would drop her ball and watch it slowly roll (and sometimes it barely made it down the lane) she would put her hands in the air and yell "I did it - yeah!" She demanded a lot of high-fiving and pounding it. We lost Brooklyn and Noah's attention half way through their second game - Blane and Jenn showed up and were playing a few lanes down from us and I guess hanging with them was more fun. I think we will definately need to do this more often - we need all the practice we can get. David won the first game and Scott won the second - thanks to Melissa, myself and Kristin letting them - heehee. Who wants to join the Beverly-Perez Bowling team?

The Great thing about 2yr olds and arcade games is that you dont have to spend any money - they dont know the difference.
Isabella - are you having fun?

Sorry Kristin - this is the only picture I got with your face - you should have just posed for me instead of hiding from the camera

MOVIE NIGHT IN THE PARK

Come to find out our Library does a movie night in the park every Saturday night - yet another fun thing we find out about on the very last one. Tonight was "Flipper" - which neither Scott nor I had ever seen - cute movie. We met Melissa, David, Noah and Isabella there. I think Noah and Brooklyn were more interested in the popcorn and doing flips on the ground - like "flipper" - heehee. I was amazed at how many people were there - it was packed. We had a good time and it was something different to do. Next summer we will pay closer attention and try to hit more of the shows.

CAPTAIN RONALD'S PIRATE ADVENTURE
.............................................................................................
"ELLO MATTIES" Yep - we are at it again - the next stop on the roadtrip was Little Elm's Pirate playground. I met Carrie, Brad, my mom and the kids there to kindof celebrate Samuel's 2nd birthday and get a stamp of course (only 3 more stops) - we are McDonaldsed out - it seems like we have eaten there so many times lately. Anyway this playland was I think the cutest I have ever seen - it was like a huge pirate ship. Brooklyn wore her cute new Hawaii dress and her "curl" necklace to show everyone - she even did some twirls. Even as tired as she was they had a great time playing - plus it was her only chance to see Grandma for a while - we have been gone 3 weeks and now she is leaving for 2 weeks to Chicago and Michigan - she never stays still anymore.

Even the bathroom was cute

LAST STOP - HONOLULU (OAHU)

HILTON HAWAIIAN VILLAGE
Known for it's rainbow tower
Still my favorite Island - this was my second time to Oahu - Scott's first (physically anyway - he was there by phone the first time I was there - we had just started dating so we talked often - heehee). We stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village this trip - a VERY busy hotel - they actually have like 5 towers and another in the process of being built. Not on the main strip but really nice. They have animal habitats through out the property such as penguins, macaws, coy ponds, turtles - lots for a 2yr old to be amazed by. Also, tons of shopping and restaurants - every type of food and reasonably priced - I guess for Hawaii. I did not like the pool area at all but they did have a big lagoon type pond with sand all around it where you could rent paddle boats. Brooklyn had a blast catching the mini fish in the lagoon and putting them in her pail. Oahu is a VERY busy island in itself - a mini Los Angeles - maybe busier with a very large Japanese population. If you are looking for night life this is the place to go - the International Marketplace as well as the main strip are quite hopping in the evenings with very intersting people and things to see. Scott had many stops and intersted prospects on this island so he stayed busy but we had most of the last day free since our plane didn't leave until 10:30 pm.

We stopped in the Hard Rock Cafe - Saw the Surf God (statue), and hit the International Marketplace.

LU'AU (loo-ou') - N. One big Hawaiian party that goes on until everyone is too full to move.

One thing I did want Scott to experience in Hawaii was a Luau - everyone needs to see that. The one I chose was at Hawaii's Sea Life Park and the reason I chose this one is because they had penguins and a dolphin show - which I thought Brooklyn would enjoy. What a JOKE - this park was so disgusting - which is strange because this is where they filmed Adam Sandler's movie 51st Dates with Willy the Penguin. Actually the penguin that was in the Luau was supposed to be the penguin in the movie BUT he had a hard time learning his parts so they had to get a replacement - Poor Willy - he did a good job in the Luau show. The park is in serious need of updating and PAINT and the windows to the dolphin habitats were so dirty it was hard to see through them - it really was a disappointment - and an expensive one. And to top it off it was 45 minutes from our hotel and they were doing a luau at the hotel that same evening which looked like it was really nice. Sorry Scott - next time we will choose a better one.

This Island's ice cream trip - LAPPERT'S - yummy - they have lots of island fruity flavors - although I still opted for Mint Chocolate Chip and Scott for Peanut Butter Cup - but the fruity flavors sounded good. Poor Brooklyn - she only gets vanilla - she makes to big of a mess and I can't get the stains out - but she loves it.

On the last day while waiting to go to the airport we decided to dig for a pearl. They have these everywhere - you pick your clam - tap it for luck, they open it up and you dig for your pearl - sometimes white, sometimes blue, sometimes black and even every once in a while pink. Brooklyn's clam had a huge white pearl and here's where it begins - they sucker you in to a costly purchase - we picked the basic white gold drop charm (nothing special) and a small siver chain - my 2 year old is now wearing a $70 "Curl Necklace" as she says. She is so proud of this necklace though, if it gets under her shirt she has to pull it out and put it on top so everyone can see it. In my eyes it was worth the cost to see her so excited and Scott surprised me with a black pearl on a chain - or he tried to surprise me but I found the receipt while doing my checkbook so he had to go ahead and give it to me - it is really pretty. Thanks babe!
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL "CURL" NECKLACE AND WHAT A LUCKY GIRL
