After finishing the decorating of the house we all went out to La Casona for dinner to celebrate Olga's 74th birthday which is on December 3rd. She loves nothing more than to have all her kids and grandkids together - it always brings a tear to her eyes. We had a great Mexican dinner and they followed it up with a "happy birthday" in spanish while wearing a sombrero - it was quite funny.
Feliz Cumpleanos Mamo!
Olga (Mamo) and Randall (Papo)
After dinner we all went back to the house to open gifts and to have some cake - she got several jogging suits and some Christmas decor and some crocs - nice birthday we gave her the nice pink jogging suit

Nutcrackers - cute Grayson...The cake (Walmart - not Deb's)...Baby girl also has "winking skills"...and love for mamo - FINALLY!
Today I am remembering my Grandma -
this would have been her 84th birthday.
Love you Grandma.
On Saturday all of Scott's family that was out of town for Thanksgiving came over to help decorate his parent's house for Christmas and to celebrate Olga's birthday. They got all of the Christmas decor out of the attic and put it out and they did it quick. She has a great collection of Nutcrackers that looked awesome all across the fireplace mantle and bookshelves. I have never seen their house decorated for Christmas as we are always here at home with the kids and their crazy Christmas schedule of swapping - it really looked nice though. Usually Scott helps with the outside lights but Olga thought she may want the big bulbs instead of the icicles which they usually put up so we had to wait on the outside. We also introduced Cassie to the wide world of Facebook - she thought it was the greatest thing - will she ever leave her computer? Now if I could only drag her in to the blogging world with me.

After my wedding cake made it's premier Melody asked me if I would make Mark's birthday cake - so here it is. Other than the fact that it isn't a Dallas Cowboys helmet cake it turned out pretty good. I had to cook the helmet part twice - first one crumbled so I was up at 5:30am Wednesday morning remaking since we were headed out of town mid afternoon.
So all I have to say is GO COWBOYS! Sorry BENGALS 31 to 22 - Dallas WINS!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK!
This year the Thanksgiving crowd was small - Scott's parent's, Dylan and Alex, our family minus Blane and Chris. But it was nice and we made enough food for an ARMY - 4 turkies (yes I said 4 - 1 baked and 3 deep fried) - everyone loves left over turkey right. Along with our many turkies we had 11 sides - yep we were set. We also started the morning with breakfast tacos and had a mid day snack lay out of spinache dip, stuffed jalapenos and veggies with dip. The scales are tipping me right off - the recovery is gonna be bad. The day was very relaxing though with lots of time to search the ads for anything we may need to shop for at 4am tomorrow (didn't find anything worthy of a 4am trip out in the cold - I will just spend the extra few bucks).

She thinks it may be our turkey's feather
Chris and afternoon snacks...Scott and dad injecting the turkey to deep fry...Bailey making sure she isn't missing anything back home
Kamdon...Olga taking a snoozer...Dylan
Scott and Randall deep frying and me - yep cooking - Corn Casserole - yumm
Bailey wishes "she would win" and Dylan wishes "he would win"
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! GOBBLE! GOBBLE!
We are FINALLY finished with all of our classes - yeah! The first three classes we had Terese and this class was taught by Susan (we loved her) but the class was a little repetitive of the end of course 3 and poor Carrie with her new pregnancy aches and pains wasn't to in to it. This class was the very basics of Gum Paste and Fondant - I guess the harder stuff we teach ourselves (or look for a more advanced class somewhere else since Michael's doesnt offer any more) and I think I am going to get lots of practice - I like to push myself and try the harder cakes (wait til you see the one I am going to try for Brooklyn's birthday in January). So for now we wait for a reason to make a cake.

Man I was looking pretty in this picture - wow scary! Carrie too - not a good day for us.

Debbi's Cake ......................................Carrie's Cake
These cakes were HORRIBLE - trust me the pictures do wonders for them - mine went straight to the trash when I got home - Bad Final Cake
Today was a Christmas oriented day and we haven't even gotten to Thanksgiving yet. Carrie came over and we hit the 30th Annual Plano Christmas Craft Fair where I purchased a cute snowman for the front porch and of course a santa ornament. Scott took Blane, Kamdon and Bailey shopping for my birthday (I think he was afraid I was going to drag him with me to the craft fair). But I did drag him (he actually went willingly) to see Santa's arrival at the new Stacy Outdoor Mall as well as the reindeer Donner and Blitzen (not sure where the rest of them were). Santa didn't arrive by sleigh but instead by an Allen fire truck, lights and sirens a blaring. It was a good time follwed up by not-hot chocolate for the kids. I LOVE Christmas time.
Look at those mittens - what a little cutie (I meant Brooklyn)
There is the sleigh
Don't you just love Mrs. Claus

Kamdon's team the Wolverines won their game today 2 - 1 which makes them the head of their division and on to the Tournament of Champions. It was a really cold one to about 45 degrees with a whipping wind. That did not stop them from tearing up the soccer field though nor did it stop Brooklyn from playing at the playground during the game or after the game with Kamdon. No one else would endure the cold with us.
She told us she was tired and had to rest
What a Great Big Brother Kamdon Is
