We started out the day with a yummy lunch at Cheddars - I talked to both Sara and Carrie while we were there and had both of their mouths watering before I hung up - I think Carrie was even going to make a run for some spinach dip.
Then since today was supposed to be the only warm day for a while - it has been so cold for a few weeks (with a couple of warm days in between) and it's supposed to be cold again tomorrow we decided to go check out the Nutcracker Exhibit at the Dallas Arboretum. Most of the day was really nice but it did start to cool off towrds the end. We walked through the Historic DeGolyer Estate and looked at all the different nutcrackers (Scott's mom would have been in heaven - she is also a collector) - they are all owned by Liz Minyard (from Minyard Food Stores) and there were a total of 164 big and small. Then we stopped by to do some arts and craft and made a really cute snowman and gave hugs to Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph. They were also doing horse drawn carriage rides which we were unable to do because the line was too long (next time). She had a great time and it was nice to be outside (hopefully this doesn't bring on a dreaded Christmas illness - we would hate to be the one to bring it this year - heehee!)
we did look at some flowers...this one was as tall as Brooklyn...it's rudolph
Snowman weaving...nice horsie...and we're all done
getting toasty by the fireplace...Frosty the Snowman...Santa's workshop
Some of our favorites...
a huge cluster...the Wizard of Oz...and an ode to Texas A&M (for David Perez)
Sorry for the picture overload AGAIN - she is just so darn cute!
