Today is my 38th birthday (I know - HOLY COW!) and it was a great day - it started with Scott going to the gym early this morning and returning with chicken biscuits from Chic fil A - my favorite. Then I had a hair appointment to do my cake-hair trade out and Rhonda loved my cake (she actually called me this evening and has another client that wanted me to make a cake for her - Rhonda could keep me busy - she wants me to make her husband's cake next weekend and her daughter's birthday cake in February too) - and I loved my hair - I always do - for the first couple of weeks until the roots start to show - my hair grows so fast. Next I met my great friend Jaime (James) at iFratelli's for lunch. We hardly ever get together anymore - she moved to Midland about a year ago so she only gets back to Dallas every so often. Today her husband had a meeting so they flew in for the day (I know it was really just to be here for my birthday - heehee). It was fun to catch up and share all the juice in our lives - always is. Come back soon - I miss you Jaime!
Then tonight Scott had tickets to the Dallas Mavericks game in a suite with free food (nachos, hot dogs and chicken fajitas - and YES, I ate all of that) and drink oh yeah and PLATINUM parking that was the best part seeing it was Frio outside. So tomorrow the crash diet starts after a day like today. We had a great time - basketball games are my favorite event to go to - so hoitty toitty! TO (Terrell Owens) from the Dallas Cowboys was there and pitched a signed football in to the crowd - I didn't catch it - what's up TO?
The best part was the Mavs won 112 to 97 - Yeah - GO MAVS!
I also have a whole stack of gifts which I am going to open Sunday night at my party with the kids (they are with their dad for the weekend) - I wanted to make my birthday cake first - I found a cute igloo cake I wanted to attempt - watch for pics. The only down point of the whole day was when I got my braces tightened and now my mouth is a little sore. So Thank you to everyone for making my day GREAT!

Happy Birthday dear sister. Can't wait for dinner on Saturday. And I love that every year you are still 10 years older than me! hehe
Glad you had a fun time! Scott does seem to take care of you really well in the birthday department! It must make hitting that next year a tad easier (this comes from someone a year ahead of you).
