The travels continue - we got home from Aruba on Saturday - for one day - long enough to do laundry and have dinner with our friends the Perez's and the Wescoat's, AND now here we go -Monday afternoon off on a crazy 9 day, four island whirlwind trip to Hawaii. Flying with a 2 year old is crazy - we had 6 carry ons, a car seat and a stroller - talk about a beating - with the airlines charging for bags now we had no choice. Anyway, first stop was Maui - first time ever for either of us. Scott was really busy on this island so Brookie and I spent most of the time at the pool. We stayed at the Grand Wailea - WOW! - and thanks to the GM of the hotel we got a full comp - the only way we would have been able to stay there. It was sooooo nice. Although when a hotel is that nice the first thing that ran through my mind when we drove up was "do I have the appropriate clothes with me to stay here?" - almost a little too hoitty toitty for me (or that's what I was saying when we got there - by time we left I felt right at home - heehee). The time change over there is 5 hours behind us here in Texas so first morning by 3am we were wide awake - we got up and took a walk to the beach - Brooklyn didn't like that at all - it was pitch dark and the waves were crashing in and loud. This was the hardest island for us because of the jet lag - we had snacks in our room when we got up and breakfast (which was really lunch time for us) at around 7am then naptime by 8am - pool for a couple of hours and she was ready for bed by 4pm - and me by 8pm - Scott worked non-stop - I think he missed sleeping. We were here for 2 days and he had to cancel a few appointments because the first few he stopped at were pretty much sure thing so he spent alot of time walking their properties - GO SCOTT! on the selling so far - he is doing a great job
The Wailele (waterfall) which means "leaping water" out front was so beautiful - check out my hair there was a burst of air from behind
