BUSY SATURDAY!

I am not sure what this month's Home Depot Kid Project was - I got the flag and everything but the rest of it - not sure of the significance. The kids didn't seem to be that in to it either. This month was a little different though - we NEVER have Kamdon, Bailey or Jessica the first weekend of the month so they don't get to go help Brooklyn build her projects - however this month by chance we did so they tagged along. Bailey and Jessica even built one together. Kamdon just opted to wear the cute orange apron (looks good on you bud). The main reason for the disinterest though was a little black cricket - GROSS! Noah found it and the poor thing became what they all wanted - it got passed back and forth like it was a great find - even Brookie took her turn with it - that's my girl - building and bugs - hummm - something seems wrong with this picture. We finally set the cricket free - not sure what the condition of it was - alive barely.

Home Depot was just the beginning of our busy Saturday - from there we got roped into the Nasher Sculpture Exhibit (Target does a kid day there the first Saturday of each month) - Really not very interesting but it was fun to hang with friends - moms have to endure things like this but hats off to the dads today - I can only imagine what was going through their heads. The kids just love being together - they did get a little Target spot dog for completing the scavenger hunt. I don't think this will be a monthly stop like Home Depot but it was ok once. We did finish up the day at Chuys - my favorite.
