One of Scott's Christmas presents was a 46 gallon bow front fish tank with the whole set up for salt water and for Father's Day he got a gift certificate to Exotic Aquatics - unfortunately we didn't have a stand or shelf sturdy enough to set it up and we were waiting for the Leopard Print carpet to go in the study so we wouldnt have to move it once it was set up - well all the above is FINALLY done. So today we went and got our salt water, live rock (very fun to pick out by the way - choosing how your reef will look) and 1 fish - Dory (Brooklyn named her - like the fish on Finding Nemo - they were both bright blue). At first seemed very complicated but after spending a litttle time in the store talking to different people I think we got most of our questions answered so we will see in a month or two if we have it stablized enough to put some really pretty or really ugly, interesting fish in it AND actually keep them alive. Scott and I have always wanted a salt water tank so this should be a fun project for both of us.
I took care of the final touches - cleaning the mess, arranging the rocks and putting the light on top.
