A NEW CAKE VENTURE - FONDANT!

I have been waiting for this part of cake decorating - Fondant. We are just dabbling in it during course 3 but tonight we learned how to roll it out and cover a cake and how to make a bow. In a few weeks I am making Matt and Amy's wedding cake and I want to do a three layer with a bow on top - although I am going to do a more loopy elegant bow instead of the tied present look. I am really enjoying the more advanced techniques. I cant wait for the next course - Fondant and Gum Paste - not sure yet what the difference is but looking forward to finding out. I can no longer eat cake - I am burned out - it doesnt even sound good to me anymore (maybe that's a good thing - at least for my waist line) So I ended up throwing this whole cake away - what a waste - anyone want to sign up to be the recipients of cakes needing a home? Anyway here it is cake of the day - Brooklyn helped me with the flowers by the way - she along with Bailey will be going into business with me someday.
